Gironia Nobili Vitigni Terre degli Osci Borgo di Colloredo
BORGO DI COLLOREDO
Gironia: Biferno rosso
Red wine

We use Montepulciano and Aglianico grapes, from the "cru" of the vineyard. This ruby-coloured wine with flecks of garnet-red has an intense, full bouquet  with hints of the ripened fruit of wild cherries and prunes. It suggests vanilla, gentle spices and liquorice from the refined deeper character brought out by aging. It is warm and gentle on the palate, yet well-rounded. Being full-bodied, it is rightly tannic which blends with the toastiness of the barrels and has a sweet finish. It is ideal to accompany slow-roasts, game and strong cheeses.
